Haunted Houses and Trails Near Our New Home Communities- Guaranteed to Give You Nightmares

Published by Imagine Homes

Some people don’t enjoy being frightened and spend Halloween evening munching on candy and watching Hocus Pocus (fabulous movie by the way!).  Others will voluntarily enter a haunted house or trail knowing they are about to be terrified and seriously freaked out.  If you’re not a scaredy-cat and you like things jumping out at you and making your blood run cold, then this list of haunted houses and trails is for you.  Added bonus:  They are close to our new home communities.

Silver Pointe- Raleigh, NC

Silver Pointe’s awesome location in Raleigh, NC (near Clayton and Garner) makes for a quick drive to quite a few haunts.  Harvested Farm Nightmares in Garner, NC boasts chills and thrills in a pitch-dark corn maze.  You’ll be chased by zombies and the undead - no big deal.  The Clayton Fear Farm located in Clayton, NC is a huge scream park, home to seven different attractions.  Each one has a different theme that’ll have you screaming, running, crawling, and squeezing through tight places.  Sign us up!

Muirfield Village- Sanford, NC

If you’re up for a short road trip, Woods of Terror in Greensboro, NC was named one of the best haunts in the country in 2013.  You’ll be in the woods through each of the 13 attractions in the park- that’s right, 13- the hour drive will be totally worth it.  Themed houses include vampires, greedy miners, night stalkers, and classic movie villains.  This haunted park is not for the faint of heart; so younger patrons are encouraged to sit this one out.  Grab a friend, or ten, and pick a day to go!

Oak Park- Youngsville, NC

The Haunted Forest at Panic Point has six, scary-good attractions that will keep you up at night. Patrons keep coming back every year for the main attraction, the Haunted Forest.  It’s a half-mile trail filled with all sorts of crazy creatures that’ll have you running for the hills.
